BCG India elevates Saurabh Chandra as its Managing Director

BCGBoston Consulting Group (BCG) India appoints Saurabh Chandra as Managing Director. Boston Consulting Group is an American management consulting firm headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1963, the firm has offices around the world and is globally recognized.

Ex Amazon and Flipkart veteran, Chandra has recently been raised as a board member at Southeast Asia’s E-commerce Company called Sastodeal. He is a Bay area (USA) emigrant with over 2 decades of experience in managing technology and business.

In his last assignment, Chandra gestated the Data Analytics and ML platform for the Indian retail & commerce business of Amazon India as Head-Engineering. He was also accountable for setting up & mounting the core tech team in India.

Chandra has worked with companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, and Visa in the capacities of CTO and India Head. He brings a wealth of experience in new-gen technology including MLP, data & building internet-scale platforms. Not only the technology but his uniqueness is around incubating & transforming businesses across start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

He has been part of many firsts, changing market dynamics, incubating the initiatives from within such as Big Billion Day, App Only Strategy, digitizing Mortgage business, powering platforms & companies with GST, FDI, and GDPR related changes.

In this new role, he is projected to drive new-age strategies and enhance the global presence of the firm with technology and digital transformation.

Chandra has been an entrepreneur, exited successfully, sits on the board of two internet companies, and has been a tech mentor & advisor to Google Incubator. He holds 3 patents (granted), 5 patents filed & under USPTO review, 2 books published by McGraw Hill, and 5 research papers. He is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology & IIM Ahmedabad.
